When installing a T5, T45, T56, TKO500 or TKO600 transmission in your classic Mustang, topping the transmission with the proper shift lever is important. California Pony Cars specifically designed this shift lever for 1965-1973 Mustangs utilizing one of the late model Borg Warner Tremec transmissions. The shift lever is tall enough to offer comfortable shifts in a Mustang that was never designed to accommodate a Tremec transmission.
CPC’s shift lever is made from 6061 T-6 billet aluminum and offers a clean, race inspired look with it’s squared off design. This shift lever is 10-1/2″ tall which means you can shift comfortably without having to over extend your reach. The shift lever features a two-bolt flange that bolts directly to Borg Warner Tremec T5, T45, T56 and TKO transmissions. Most 1983-2004 shift knobs will work with this shift lever due to the 12 x 1.75mm thread pattern. This leaves an endless amount of options for you to customize your 1965-1973 Mustang.
